AS Qimei Zhenjiang PN‑108L125

Product Introduction AS Zhenjiang Qimei PN‑108L125 resin is a high‑transparency, high‑rigidity acrylonitrile‑styrene copolymer (AS/SAN). It features good mechanical strength, chemical resistance and excellent processability.

Main Applications

Daily‑use & Consumer Goods: Cosmetic housings, ornaments, food containers, artificial‑leather resin, kitchen utensils such as coffee cups and food‑grade cutlery. Superior chemical resistance (better than PMMA, MS and PS) and cost advantage (15%‑30% lower than PMMA and MS) make it well‑suited for these applications.

Electronic & Electrical Components: Electrical sockets, housings, instrument casings, dashboards, battery boxes, storage‑battery enclosures, TV bases and cassette cases. Reliable electrical insulation and mechanical strength satisfy performance requirements for these components.

Industrial Components: Oil‑resistant mechanical parts, tractor fuel tanks, packaging containers and filter pipes.

Automotive Industry: Automotive parts including head‑lamp housings, rear‑view mirror housings and instrument panels.

Injection‑Molding Parameters

Process Parameter Reference Range Remarks & Instructions
Drying Treatment 80℃, 2‑4 hours AS resin is hygroscopic. Sufficient drying is required (moisture content below 0.1% recommended), otherwise silver streaks and bubbles may occur on finished‑part surfaces.
Barrel Temperature Rear zone:170‑180℃ or 180‑200℃
Middle zone:180‑200℃ or 190‑210℃
Front zone:200‑210℃ or 200‑230℃
Nozzle:180‑190℃ or 200‑220℃
Melt Processing Temperature 200‑250℃ or 200‑270℃ Use lower melt temperature for thick‑wall products to prevent material degradation.
Mold Temperature 40‑80℃ 50‑60°C for high‑precision parts; 60‑80°C for high‑gloss and high‑heat‑resistance requirements. Mold temperature directly affects appearance, shrinkage and warpage.
Injection Pressure 350‑1300 bar Adjust according to flow length and product structure. AS has slightly lower flowability than PS, so relatively higher injection pressure is needed.
Holding Pressure Approx.30%‑60% of injection pressure Optimize according to wall thickness and product structure to reduce internal stress and shrinkage.
Injection Speed High‑speed injection Beneficial for good surface gloss, color performance and minimizing weld‑lines.
Back Pressure 5‑15 kg/cm² Ensures uniform plasticization and degassing. Too low back‑pressure may trap air and cause internal defects such as charring.
Screw Speed Medium speed (50‑80 rpm as reference) Sufficient for uniform plasticization.
