Product Introduction EVA Dow DuPont 460 is an ethylene‑vinyl‑acetate copolymer resin with well‑balanced performance for industrial applications.

Main Applications

Flexible Packaging: Used for meat and dairy packaging, delivering low‑temperature heat‑seal property, flexibility and puncture resistance.

Heat‑sealing Applications: Suitable for applications requiring low‑temperature heat‑sealing such as food and medical packaging, saving energy and increasing packaging speed.

Wire and Cable: Suitable for wire sheaths with insulation and chemical‑corrosion‑resistant properties.

Adhesives and Sealants: Used for manufacturing adhesives and sealants to provide consistent quality, high production efficiency and reliable performance.

Shoe Materials: Applied in footwear to offer flexibility and wearing comfort.

Toys: Used for toy manufacturing with good durability and safety performance.

Photovoltaic Field: Used as encapsulation material for photovoltaic cells, providing long‑term performance, reliability and convenient processability.

Foamed Products: Available for producing foamed materials.

Applicable Processes

‑Extrusion Molding: Commonly used for films, sheets and wire‑cable sheaths. ‑Injection Molding: For toys, automotive parts and household‑appliance components. ‑Blow Molding: For hollow articles. ‑Foaming Molding: For foamed products such as shoe soles and padding materials. ‑Hot‑melt Processing: Suitable for preparation of adhesives and sealants. ‑Compression Molding, Structural Foam Molding and other processes.

Processing Characteristics

Drying: Drying is recommended before processing if the material absorbs moisture, to avoid bubbles or silver streaks in finished products.

Processing Temperature: It is critical for EVA processing. Melt temperature is generally recommended not to exceed 230°C. EVA resin has low thermal‑decomposition temperature; excessive temperature will easily cause material degradation.

Mold Temperature: Relatively low mold temperature is generally recommended.

Equipment Selection: Conventional thermoplastic‑processing equipment can be adopted, including ordinary extruders designed for polyethylene processing.

Cooling: Products usually require rapid cooling for setting.
