PA66 Huafeng EP158 Resin

PA66 Huafeng EP158 Resin

Material Introduction: PA66 Huafeng EP158 (Zhejiang Huafeng) is an unreinforced general‑purpose injection‑molding PA66 resin. Its core advantages include favorable mechanical strength, excellent toughness and impact resistance, wear resistance, self‑lubricating property and low‑temperature performance, with UL94 V‑2 flame‑retardant rating. Its inherent water‑absorption characteristic affects dimensional stability and partial properties; strict drying is required prior to processing.

Main Applications

Electronic‑electrical industry: Electronic‑electrical components, coil bobbins, switch housings and other parts.

Automotive industry: Automotive inner parts and structural components.

Mechanical parts / Industrial fittings: Machinery parts, instrument components, railway fittings, home‑appliance parts, communication‑device components, oil pipes, oil tanks and precision engineering articles.

Film & packaging: Packaging‑purpose film products.

Other fields: Medical‑device parts, sports goods, daily‑use articles, monofilament and short‑fiber spinning.

Injection Molding Parameters

Processing Item Recommended Range / Condition Notes & Explanations
Drying Treatment Hot‑air drying:80‑85 ℃ for 4‑6 h; extend drying time or adopt vacuum drying under high‑humidity conditions; target moisture content<0.2% Critical operation. PA66 readily absorbs moisture. Excess moisture triggers hydrolysis during processing, bringing bubbles, silver streaks and severe mechanical‑property deterioration. Use immediately after drying or seal and keep warm properly.
Melt Temperature 260‑290 ℃ Fine‑tune according to equipment and part geometry. Avoid temperature>300 ℃ or long residence‑time to prevent degradation and discoloration.
Mold Temperature 60‑80 ℃ Proper mold temperature delivers good crystallinity, surface gloss and mechanical performance.
Injection Pressure 60‑100 MPa, adjust per product & mold design Adjust according to product structure and wall thickness.
Injection Speed Medium‑high speed Relatively fast speed facilitates filling and avoids short‑shot or weld‑line defects caused by rapid cooling.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa (5‑10 kgf/cm²) Moderate back‑pressure homogenizes melt and improves venting; excessive back‑pressure reduces plasticizing efficiency and may induce overheating.
Screw Speed Medium speed (50‑120 rpm) Avoid excessive shear‑heat generation.
Runner & Gate Runner and gate shall not be undersized Nylon solidifies rapidly; sufficiently large gate dimension guarantees smooth filling.
