PA66 Shenma EPR27 Resin
PA66 Shenma EPR27 Resin
Material Introduction: PA66 Shenma EPR27 (Pingdingshan Shenma) is a medium‑viscosity, unreinforced general‑purpose injection‑molding PA66 resin. Its core advantages are well‑balanced mechanical strength and toughness, excellent electrical insulation, UL94 V‑2 flame‑retardant rating and good processing flowability. Its inherent water‑absorption characteristic affects dimensional stability and partial properties; strict drying is required prior to processing.
Main Applications
Electronic‑electrical industry: Electrical components, connectors, switch housings, coil bobbins, timers, circuit‑breaker covers and other parts.
Automotive industry: General automotive components.
Mechanical parts & Industrial fittings: Mechanical components, home‑appliance parts and power‑tool accessories.
Fiber & monofilament: For bristle yarn, short‑cut fiber and other spinning‑industry applications.
Modification base resin: Serves as base resin for modified plastics (e.g. patent CN104672898A for high‑gloss low‑warpage reinforced nylon).

Injection Molding Parameters
| Processing Item | Recommended Range / Condition | Notes & Explanations |
|---|---|---|
| Drying Treatment | Hot‑air drying:80‑100 ℃ for 4‑6 h; extend drying time or adopt vacuum drying under high‑humidity conditions; target moisture content<0.2% | Critical operation. PA66 readily absorbs moisture. Excess moisture triggers hydrolysis during processing, bringing bubbles, silver streaks and severe mechanical‑property deterioration. Use immediately after drying or seal and keep warm properly. |
| Melt Temperature | 260‑290 ℃ | Fine‑tune according to equipment and part geometry. Avoid temperature>300 ℃ or long residence‑time to prevent degradation and discoloration. |
| Mold Temperature | 60‑90 ℃ | Proper mold temperature (e.g.80 ℃) delivers good crystallinity, surface gloss and mechanical performance. Lower mold temperature shortens cycle time. |
| Injection Pressure | 60‑100 MPa, adjust per product & mold design | Adjust according to product structure and wall thickness. |
| Injection Speed | Medium‑high speed | Relatively fast speed facilitates filling and avoids short‑shot or weld‑line defects caused by rapid cooling. |
| Back Pressure | 0.5‑1.0 MPa (5‑10 kgf/cm²) | Moderate back‑pressure homogenizes melt and improves venting; excessive back‑pressure reduces plasticizing efficiency and may induce overheating. |
| Screw Speed | Medium speed (50‑120 rpm) | Avoid excessive shear‑heat generation. |
| Runner & Gate | Runner and gate shall not be undersized | Nylon solidifies rapidly; sufficiently large gate dimension guarantees smooth filling. |
| Shutdown Instruction | Clean barrel with thermally stable PE / PP upon production pause or completion to prevent carbonized nylon residue. Turn off heating system for long‑term shutdown. | ‑ |
