Injection Molding Parameters

表格

Process Parameter Recommended Range / Operation Notes Remarks & Explanations
Pre‑drying Mandatory drying. PPA is hygroscopic. Sufficient drying prevents defects such as bubbles and silver streaks during processing, and avoids material degradation by hydrolysis.
Barrel Temperature Melt temperature: 310‑330 °C (approx. 615‑650 °F). Critical for processing. Too low temperature causes poor flow; excessive temperature leads to degradation. Material residence time in barrel shall not exceed 10 minutes.
Mold Temperature Minimum 135 °C (approx. 275 °F), recommended 120‑140 °C. Higher mold temperature reduces internal stress, improves surface gloss and dimensional stability, and ensures full crystallization of molded parts.
Injection Pressure Adjust according to part structure and wall thickness.
Injection Speed Medium speed.
Screw Speed Medium speed. Avoid excessive shear which may cause glass fiber breakage or material degradation.
