PP Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Z30S Resin
PP Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Z30S Resin
Material Introduction: PP Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Z30S is fiber‑grade homopolymer polypropylene with high melt flow rate, mainly used for spinning and fiber manufacturing.
Main Applications
Man‑made fiber & spinning: Traditional and primary application for high‑speed spinning low‑denier man‑made fibers. Good flowability and strength make it well‑suited for spinning purposes.
Injection‑molded products: Though it supports injection‑molding processing, this grade is optimized for spinning and fiber production. It is not the best option for injection‑molded parts, especially complex or thin‑wall articles.

Processing Parameters
| Processing Item | Reference Range (General PP) | Remarks for Z30S high‑flow feature |
|---|---|---|
| Drying Treatment | Normally not required | PP absorbs negligible moisture. Drying is unnecessary under proper storage. Dry at 80 ℃ for 1‑2 h if material gets damp. |
| Barrel Temperature | 180‑260℃ | Homopolymer PP melting point:165‑170℃. For high‑MFR Z30S, adopt medium‑low temperature range (190‑240℃) to prevent thermal degradation caused by excessive shear heat. |
| Mold Temperature | 40‑80℃ | Recommended:50‑60℃. Higher mold temperature improves surface gloss and dimensional stability; lower mold temperature shortens molding cycle. |
| Injection Pressure | 60‑100 MPa | Adjust based on flow length and part structure. Appropriately lower injection pressure due to high flowability to avoid flash defects. |
| Injection Speed | Medium‑high speed | Take advantage of high flowability with higher injection speed; watch for gas marks and weld‑lines and tune parameters according to actual conditions. |
| Holding Pressure | 30%‑60% of injection pressure | Sufficient holding pressure reduces shrinkage and sink marks. Avoid overly long holding time to prevent excessive internal stress. |
| Back Pressure | 0.5‑1.0 MPa | Moderate back‑pressure improves melt homogenization and venting; high back‑pressure is not required. |
| Screw Speed | Medium speed | Avoid excessive screw speed to prevent shear‑induced overheating. |
