PP IRPC Thailand 1102K Resin
PP IRPC Thailand 1102K Resin
Material Introduction: PP IRPC Thailand 1102K is homopolymer polypropylene resin. It is characterized by good rigidity and balanced impact resistance, and complies with food‑contact regulations.
Main Applications
Extruded products: monofilament, flat yarn (for woven bags, ropes, carpet backings, etc.), straps, sheets.
Injection‑molded products: toys, household articles, general mechanical parts, insulating components and food containers (compliant with FDA 21 CFR).
Films & fibers: textile yarns, packaging bags.
Performance Parameters
| Performance Category | Test Item | Test Condition | Value / Range | Unit | Reference Standard | Remarks & Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Properties | Melt Flow Rate(MFR) | 230℃/2.16kg | 4.0 | g/10 min | ASTM D1238 | Homopolymer PP for extrusion & injection |
| Mechanical Properties | Tensile Yield Strength | ‑ | 37.0 | MPa | ASTM D638 | ‑ |
| Elongation at Break | ‑ | 27 | % | ASTM D638 | ‑ | |
| Flexural Modulus | ‑ | 1600 | MPa | ASTM D790 | ‑ | |
| Rockwell Hardness | R‑scale | 107 | ‑ | ASTM D785 | ‑ | |
| Thermal Properties | Heat‑Distortion Temperature(HDT) | 0.45 MPa, non‑annealed | 110 | ℃ | ASTM D648 | ‑ |

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters
| Process Item | Suggested Range / Description | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| Drying treatment | Generally unnecessary; dry at 80℃ for 1‑2 h under poor storage condition | ‑ |
| Barrel rear zone(feed section) | 160‑180℃ | Prevent thermal degradation. |
| Barrel middle zone(compression section) | 180‑200℃ | ‑ |
| Barrel front zone(metering section) | 200‑220℃ | ‑ |
| Nozzle temperature | 200‑210℃ | ‑ |
| Mold temperature | 40‑60℃,recommended 50℃ | Low temperature may cause poor surface, weld‑lines and flow‑marks; high temperature tends to induce warpage. |
| Injection pressure | 70‑100 MPa | Higher pressure available for thin‑wall or complex‑structure parts. |
| Holding pressure | 50%‑60% of injection pressure | Prevent shrinkage cavity and excessive shrinkage. |
| Injection speed | Medium speed | High‑speed injection improves appearance yet may bring internal stress; low‑speed injection is beneficial for venting. |
| Screw speed | 50‑100 rpm | Avoid excessive shear heat which will cause material degradation. |
