Pipe Extrusion Process Parameters

  • Processing temperature: PP decomposition temperature exceeds 300℃; resin turns yellow around 260℃ under oxygen exposure. Recommended melt temperature 220‑275℃, do not exceed 275℃; melting zone temperature around 240℃.
  • Screw design: compatible with standard PP extrusion screw.

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters

  • Barrel temperature:220‑275℃, maximum temperature shall not exceed 275℃.
  • Mold temperature:40‑80℃, recommended 50℃. Crystallization degree is mainly determined by mold temperature.
  • Injection pressure:up to 1800 bar.
  • Injection speed: high‑speed injection reduces internal pressure; adopt low‑speed injection under higher melt temperature if surface defects occur.
  • Runner & gate: cold runner diameter 4‑7 mm. All gate types are available; typical gate diameter 1‑1.5 mm, minimum 0.7 mm. Hot runner system is fully applicable for PP.
  • Back pressure:5 bar for general plasticization; increase appropriately when using color powder.
  • Drying treatment:pre‑drying unnecessary under proper storage condition.
