PP‑R Formosa Plastics 5003
PP‑R Formosa Plastics 5003 Resin
Material Introduction: PP‑R Formosa Plastics 5003 is random‑copolymer polypropylene with excellent low‑temperature impact resistance, creep resistance and high toughness. It is mainly used for pipe manufacturing, and also applicable for blow molding and thermoforming.
Main Applications
Pipe manufacturing: core application for building cold‑hot‑water pipelines and drinking‑water pipes. Finished products feature non‑toxic & sanitary performance, corrosion resistance, anti‑scaling, long service life, thermal‑insulation energy‑saving and convenient installation.
Blow molding: for blow‑molded articles.
Thermoforming (vacuum forming): for vacuum‑formed sheet products.

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters
- Barrel temperature:160
300℃(from feed zone to nozzle),typical melt temperature 220280℃。 - Mold temperature:20‑70℃. Higher mold temperature improves surface gloss and dimensional stability.
- Injection pressure:80‑140 MPa(800‑1400 bar), avoid excessive pressure; up to 180 MPa(1800 bar) for thin‑wall packaging containers.
- Holding pressure:30%‑60% of injection pressure.
- Back pressure:5‑20 MPa(50‑200 bar).
- Injection speed:high speed for thin‑wall packaging containers; medium speed for other plastic products.
- Screw speed:high rotational speed with linear velocity up to 1.3 m/s is permitted, ensure plasticization finished before cooling cycle ends.
- Drying treatment:pre‑drying unnecessary under good storage; dry at 80℃ for 1 h under poor storage condition.
