LDPE NPC Iran 2420H

LDPE NPC Iran 2420H Resin

Material Introduction: LDPE NPC Iran 2420H is film‑grade low‑density polyethylene, well‑suited for film products requiring excellent optical performance including high transparency and low haze. Its MFR (1.5‑1.9 g/10min) is relatively low for injection‑molding process.

Main Applications

Food packaging film: packaging for candy, vegetables, frozen food; blown‑film for liquid such as milk and fruit juice; packaging for condiments, pastries, sugar, preserved fruit, biscuits, milk powder, tea, flaked fish‑meat and other foodstuffs.

Agricultural films: agricultural film, mulch film, vegetable greenhouse film.

Other packaging films: heavy‑duty bag, shrink film, elastic film, liner film, construction film, general‑purpose industrial packaging film and food bag; packaging for shirts, garments, knitted cotton goods and chemical‑fiber products.

Inner layer for composite packaging: frequently used as heat‑sealing substrate for multi‑layer composite films, since single‑layer PE film has limited mechanical performance.

Performance Parameters

Performance Category Test Item Test Method / Condition Test Data / Unit Remarks & Interpretation
Basic Properties Density ISO 1183 / ASTM D1505 0.918‑0.924 g/cm³ Typical LDPE density range with light weight.
Melt Flow Rate (MFR) ISO 1133(190°C/2.16kg) / ASTM D1238 1.5‑1.9 g/10min Good melt strength, more suitable for extrusion blow‑film forming.
Mechanical Properties Tensile Strength (MD) ISO 527‑1 26 MPa Tensile strength in machine direction of film.
Elongation at Break ISO 527‑1 250‑600 % Excellent toughness and ductility performance.
Falling‑Dart Impact Strength ASTM D1709 (50μm blown film) 110 gm Higher value represents better film impact resistance.
Optical Properties Haze ASTM D1003 6 % Low haze for high transparency with slight milky‑transparent appearance.
Gloss (20°) ASTM D2457 50 Surface gloss evaluation index.
Thermal Properties Vicat Softening Temperature ISO 306 (A50) 94 °C Heat‑resistance evaluation index.
Brittle Temperature <‑25 °C Good low‑temperature toughness performance.

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters

Process Parameters Recommended Range Remarks
Barrel Temperature 160‑210 °C Temperature rises from rear zone to front zone. LDPE melt is susceptible to thermo‑oxidative degradation upon oxygen exposure.
Nozzle Temperature 180‑200 °C
Mold Temperature 30‑50 °C
Injection Pressure Medium‑high pressure Relatively poor flowability vs injection‑special grades, moderate pressure increase is required.
Injection Speed Medium speed
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa Excessive back pressure is unnecessary.
Screw Speed 50‑100 rpm Avoid excessive shear heat accumulation.
