Injection‑Molding Process Parameters

Process Parameters Recommended Range Remarks & Interpretation
Drying Treatment Normally not required Low‑hygroscopic LDPE for direct use. Dry at 60‑70 ℃ for 1‑2 h under extremely humid storage condition.
Barrel Temperature 160‑250 °C Temperature rises from rear zone to front zone. Reference setting: rear 160‑170 ℃, middle 180‑200 ℃, front 200‑220 ℃. Start debugging from relatively low temperature for this high‑flow grade.
Nozzle Temperature 180‑200 °C Slightly lower than front‑zone temperature.
Mold Temperature 10‑60 °C Low mold temperature 20‑40 ℃ shortens cycle and prevents deformation; higher mold temperature improves gloss replication and reduces internal stress.
Injection Pressure 30‑100 MPa (300‑1000 bar) High flowability allows medium‑low injection pressure. Excessive pressure causes flash. Holding pressure shall be lower than injection pressure.
Injection Speed Medium‑high speed Fast injection benefits thin‑wall filling; match with pressure & temperature to avoid flash or gas trapping.
Screw Speed Moderate (50‑100 rpm) Avoid excessive shear heat.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa Low back pressure for melt compaction.
