Material Introduction: LLDPE Formosa Plastics 3490 is linear low‑density polyethylene. With ultra‑high flowability, favorable processability and excellent low‑temperature resistance, it is widely used for various injection‑molded articles.

Main Applications

Household utensils & food containers: household basins, food packaging boxes, flexible caps including bottle stoppers and container lids.

Thin‑wall products: ultra‑high melt flow makes it ideal for thin‑wall containers and articles requiring fast cavity filling.

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters

Drying Treatment Normally not required LLDPE moisture absorption<0.01%. No drying needed under proper storage. Dry at 60‑70 °C for 1‑2 h as precaution if package damaged or high‑humidity environment.
Melt Temperature 170‑190 °C General LLDPE window 160‑220 °C is also available. For this ultra‑high‑flow grade(MFR=50), start from medium‑low temperature to prevent thermal degradation.
Mold Temperature 30‑60 °C Mold temperature affects crystallization. Higher mold temperature improves crystallinity and strength, yet may increase shrinkage.
Injection Pressure Medium pressure Ultra‑high flow permits medium‑low injection pressure. Excessive pressure causes flash; adjust according to product structure and dimension.
Injection Speed Medium‑high speed High flow realizes fast filling, well‑suited for thin‑wall articles.
Holding Pressure 40%‑60% of injection pressure Avoid excessive holding pressure and long holding time to reduce internal stress.
