Material Introduction: HDPE Formosa Plastics 8010 is high‑density polyethylene supplied as non‑toxic, tasteless and odorless milky‑white pellets. It features high rigidity, excellent elongation, good knot strength, stable processing performance and superior pigment dispersion, widely adopted for extrusion wire‑drawing and woven‑fabric applications。
Main Applications
Ropes, nets, flat yarn & woven goods: ropes, fishing nets, flat yarn, monofilament, tarpaulins.
Extruded sheets: foam boards, extruded flat panels.
Other applications: injection‑molded articles such as toys, seats and decorative components.

Extrusion Wire‑Drawing Processing
Processing temperature, pressure and other parameters shall be optimized according to equipment, product specification and performance requirements.
‑ Processing temperature: general HDPE extrusion range 160‑220°C; fine‑tune according to MFR (1.0 g/10min) and actual equipment. ‑ Screw configuration: single‑screw or twin‑screw extruder; L/D ratio greatly affects plasticizing quality and output. ‑ Cooling & drawing: extruded filaments pass through water bath for cooling and sizing; drawing ratio and final filament denier are controlled by traction rollers. Drawing ratio is critical for filament strength and molecular orientation. ‑ Winding: wind finished filaments onto bobbins.
Extrusion Processing Notes
‑ Melt strength: MFR 1.0 g/10min delivers good melt strength for stable extrusion and filament forming. ‑ Cooling condition: Cooling‑water temperature and stable traction speed are critical for crystallinity, tensile strength and surface gloss of filaments. ‑ Raw‑material drying: HDPE has low moisture absorption. Dry at 60°C for 1 hour to remove surface moisture if stored under high‑humidity conditions.
Injection‑Molding Processing
‑ Melt temperature: 220‑260°C; for higher‑molecular‑weight grades, adopt 200‑250°C. ‑ Mold temperature: 50‑95°C. Higher mold temperature for wall thickness below 6 mm; lower mold temperature for wall thickness above 6 mm. ‑ Injection pressure: 700‑1050 bar. ‑ Injection speed: high‑speed injection recommended. ‑ Runner & gate: runner diameter 4‑7.5 mm; keep runner length as short as possible.
