HDPE Dushanzi Petrochemical DMDA‑8008

HDPE Dushanzi Petrochemical DMDA‑8008 Resin

Material Introduction: HDPE Dushanzi Petrochemical DMDA‑8008 is a high‑density polyethylene grade supplied as non‑toxic, tasteless and odorless milky‑white pellets. It features high flowability, balanced rigidity and toughness, good mechanical strength, excellent dielectric property and environmental stress‑cracking resistance. Widely used for injection‑molded thin‑wall products.

Main Applications

Daily‑use & food‑contact thin‑wall packaging: reusable thin‑wall beverage cups, food containers.

Containers: plastic crates and turnover boxes.

Other injection‑molded products: low‑grade household articles, housings and non‑load‑bearing components.

Performance Parameters

Performance Category Test Item Test Method / Condition Value & Unit Remarks & Interpretation
Basic Properties Density Q/SY DS 0510 0.956±0.002 g/cm³ HDPE grade with high hardness and good rigidity.
Melt Flow Rate (MFR) Q/SY DS 0511 (190°C/2.16 kg) 6.5‑8.0 g/10min Good melt flowability, well‑suited for injection molding and fast filling for thin‑wall parts.
Mechanical Properties Tensile Yield Stress Q/SY DS 0512 ≥25 MPa Indicator of tensile‑deformation resistance; higher value delivers better performance.
Tensile Break Stress Q/SY DS 0512 ≥10 MPa Maximum stress the material can sustain before fracture.
Tensile Break Strain Q/SY DS 0512 ≥600% Superb toughness and ductility; withstand large deformation without fracture.
Izod Impact Strength GB/T 1043.1‑2008 Typical value 5.8 kJ/m² Indicator of impact‑resistance performance.
Appearance & Cleanness Oversize & undersize pellets SH/T 1541‑2006 ≤10 g/kg Index for pellet uniformity.
Black & colored particles SH/T 1541‑2006 ≤5 pcs/kg Index for material purity and impurity content; lower value is preferred.

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters

Process Parameters Recommended Range Remarks & Interpretation (General HDPE characteristics)
Drying Treatment Normally not required Non‑hygroscopic polyolefin. Optional drying at 60℃ for 1 hour to remove surface moisture for better product quality.
Barrel Temperature 180‑230 ℃ Wide processing temperature window. Melting point approx.142℃, decomposition temperature 300℃.
Mold Temperature Set according to product Mold temperature has significant influence on crystallization of molded parts.
Injection Pressure Adjust on‑site HDPE features relatively high melt viscosity and limited flow‑length ratio. Larger gates and runners shall be adopted to avoid short shot for thin‑wall products.

Additional Notes

‑ Molded parts are prone to static electricity and surface dust adsorption. ‑ Shrinkage rate: approx.1.6% (16‰). Flash tolerance: approx.0.05 mm.
