| Flexural Strength | ‑ | 36 MPa | Bending resistance performance. | |
| Flexural Modulus | ASTM D790 | 1000 MPa | Stiffness indicator; higher value means better resistance to bending deformation. | |
| Thermal Properties | Melting Point | ‑ | 126 °C | Complete melting temperature for processing‑temperature reference. |
| Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) | ‑ | 80 °C | Heat resistance under load. | |
| Chemical Properties | Chemical Resistance | ‑ | Good | Excellent water, acid‑alkali and chemical corrosion resistance; suitable for chemical containers, pipes and valves. |
Processing Technology
ZH2911 is primarily designed for spinning and may also be applicable for other extrusion processes.
HDPE generally requires no pre‑drying due to ultra‑low moisture absorption (≤0.01%). Drying at 60‑80 °C for 1‑2 hours is optional as a safeguard under abnormally humid storage conditions.
Its low MFR (0.3 g/10min) provides good melt strength, well‑suited for spinning and extrusion.
General extrusion reference data (adjust and optimize according to equipment, product specifications and performance requirements):
- Processing Temperature: Typical HDPE extrusion temperature: 160‑220 °C. Fine‑tune for equipment, die and product requirements.
- Screw Design: Single‑screw or twin‑screw extruders. Screw L/D ratio strongly influences plasticizing quality and output.
- Cooling & Drawing: Extruded fibers or parts shall be properly cooled and sized. The traction system controls draw ratio and final fineness or dimension. Draw ratio is critical for product strength and molecular orientation.
Processing Notes
- Melt Strength: ZH2911 with MFR 0.3 g/10min exhibits good melt strength and stable extrusion performance.
- Cooling Conditions: Cooling setup and steady traction speed are essential for crystallinity, mechanical strength and surface finish.
- Shrinkage: HDPE shows relatively high directional shrinkage (approx.1.5%‑3.6%), which may cause warpage. Maintain uniform and stable cooling conditions.
