HDPE SECCO HD5502FA is a high‑density polyethylene mainly for blow molding. It is widely used for manufacturing small hollow containers due to good processability, excellent surface finish and balanced mechanical properties.
Main Applications
Small Hollow Containers: Developed for blow‑molded articles below 5 L, such as containers for food, oil and general‑purpose chemicals. Other Applications: Refrigerator compartments, storage containers, household kitchenware, sealing caps, etc.

Blow‑Molding Processing Reference
For blow‑molding, temperature, pressure and other parameters shall be adjusted and optimized according to equipment, container volume and performance requirements.
- Processing Temperature: Typical blow‑molding temperature range for HDPE: 160‑220 °C. Fine‑tune per equipment, mold and product requirements.
- Screw Design: Suitable for multi‑station extruders for higher output.
- Mold Temperature: Affects surface finish and crystallinity; maintain proper cooling temperature.
- Processing Notes:
- Melt strength: HD5502FA features moderate MFR (5.0 g/10min, 190 °C/10 kg) and favorable melt strength to maintain parison shape during blow‑molding.
- Surface finish: Contains PPA processing aid to improve processability and surface quality, reduce melt fracture and enhance surface gloss.
- Shrinkage & warpage: HDPE has relatively high directional shrinkage, prone to warpage. Control mold temperature and ensure uniform, stable cooling.
