HDPE Fushun Petrochemical 2911

HDPE Fushun Petrochemical 2911 Resin

Material Introduction: HDPE Fushun Petrochemical 2911 is a high‑density polyethylene grade supplied as non‑toxic, tasteless and odorless milky‑white pellets. It features high rigidity, good toughness and excellent low‑temperature resistance, mainly used for injection‑molded daily‑use articles and industrial products.

Main Applications

Daily‑use goods & furniture: furniture, general containers, thin‑wall containers, turnover boxes, pallets, sports facilities, safety helmets, fish boxes and household articles.

Industrial components: industrial containers and mechanical parts.

Performance Parameters

Performance Category Test Item Test Method / Condition Value & Unit Remarks & Interpretation
Basic Properties Density ASTM D1505 / GB 1003 0.960 g/cm³ HDPE grade with high hardness and good rigidity.
Melt Flow Rate (MFR) ASTM D1238 / GB 3682 (190°C/2.16 kg) 20 g/10min High MFR provides excellent flowability, suitable for high‑speed injection molding, especially favorable for thin‑wall part filling.
Mechanical Properties Tensile Yield Strength ASTM D638 / GB 1040 ≥26 MPa / To be confirmed Indicator of tensile‑deformation resistance. Data varies among sources; refer to latest TDS for official value.
Elongation at Break ASTM D638 / GB 1040 ≥80% / To be confirmed Good toughness and ductility. Data varies among sources; refer to latest TDS for official value.
Izod Notched Impact Strength ASTM D256 ≥40 J/m / To be confirmed Indicator of impact resistance. Data varies among sources; refer to latest TDS for official value.
Thermal Properties Vicat Softening Point ASTM D1525 129 °C Heat‑resistance indicator; higher temperature represents better thermal stability.
Brittleness Temperature ASTM D746 <‑70 °C Maintain toughness under ultra‑low temperature with outstanding low‑temperature performance.
Other Properties Cleanness (Colored Particles) SH/T 1541 / Internal method ≤5 pcs/kg / To be confirmed Purity and appearance indicator; lower value is preferred. Data varies among sources.
Cleanness (Impurity Particles) SH/T 1541 / Internal method ≤20 pcs/kg / To be confirmed Same interpretation as above.

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters

Process Parameters Recommended Range Remarks & Interpretation (General HDPE characteristics)
Drying Treatment Normally not required Extremely low moisture absorption (≤0.01%). Drying is unnecessary under normal conditions. Dry at 60‑70°C for 1‑2 hours as precaution for high‑humidity storage.
Barrel Temperature 180‑230 ℃ Crystalline polymer; barrel temperature shall be higher than melting point. Typical target temperature around 220℃; lower value for rear zone, higher value for front zone.
Mold Temperature 50‑70 ℃ Mold temperature greatly affects crystallization. Higher mold temperature brings higher crystallinity and strength together with larger shrinkage. 10‑20℃ higher than LDPE mold temperature.
Injection Pressure 50‑100 MPa Good flowability; adopt lower pressure except for thin‑wall long‑flow‑path parts. Lower pressure for simple thick‑wall parts; higher pressure for complex parts.
Injection Speed Medium‑high speed High flowability supports rapid cavity filling.
Holding Pressure 40%‑60% of injection pressure Avoid excessive holding pressure and long holding time to reduce internal stress.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.5 MPa Low back pressure for melt compaction; excessive back pressure will generate extra shear heat.
Screw Speed Medium speed Prevent excessive shear‑induced heat accumulation.
