Material Introduction: MDPE SK DX800 from South Korea is a medium‑density polyethylene grade. It features excellent environmental‑stress‑cracking resistance (ESCR), high toughness, good heat resistance and superior UV‑resistance stability. It is especially suitable for pipe applications requiring long‑term durability and reliability.
Main Applications
Pressure pipes: water pipes and gas pipes, where long‑term durability and crack resistance are critical.
Injection‑molded articles: industrial injection‑molded parts requiring good toughness and certain heat resistance.
Films and packaging: food‑contact packaging materials taking advantage of favorable film properties.
Other fields: medical devices, pharmaceutical packaging, blow‑molded hollow articles such as containers, fibers and other products.

Molding Process

| Drying | Necessity | PE has extremely low water absorption (<0.01%), pre‑drying is normally unnecessary. Dry at 60‑80°C for 1‑2 hours under extremely humid storage conditions. |
| Extrusion | Barrel Temperature | Feeding zone:160‑180°C;Compression zone:180‑200°C;Metering zone:200‑220°C;Die‑head & die:210‑230°C |
| Melt Temperature | Recommended:200‑230°C. Avoid excessive temperature and long residence time to prevent material degradation. | |
| Injection Molding | Barrel Temperature | HDPE reference around 220°C; lower value for rear zone, higher value for front zone. Adjust for MDPE according to actual products. |
| Mold Temperature | HDPE mold temperature is normally 10‑20°C higher than LDPE (LDPE around 30‑45°C). Recommended:40‑60°C. Higher mold temperature improves crystallinity and strength while increasing shrinkage. | |
| Injection Pressure | PE has good flowability. Use relatively low pressure 50‑100 MPa except for thin‑wall slender parts; adjust according to product structure. | |
