Material Introduction: PVC Ningbo Formosa Plastics S‑85 is a high‑polymerization‑degree polyvinyl chloride resin produced by suspension‑polymerization, normally supplied as white powder. It is classified as paste resin, well‑known for high elasticity and excellent plasticizer‑absorbing capacity.

Main Applications

High‑elasticity products: special sealing strips, elastomer components, etc.

PVC film materials for household swimming pools: used for manufacturing deformation‑resistant and aging‑resistant swimming‑pool liners.

Other high‑end soft‑grade products: premium artificial leather, soft toys, high‑performance hoses and other fields requiring extremely high flexibility and resilience.

Processing Parameters

Material Handling Normally no drying required If damp: dry 3 h in hot‑air oven at 60‑70℃, or 1‑1.5 h in dryer at 80℃ (general suggestion for S‑80)
Melting Temperature Strictly controlled PVC is heat‑sensitive. S‑85 features high polymerization degree and higher melt viscosity; processing temperature shall be properly adjusted, meanwhile decomposition must be strictly prevented. Processing temperature for paste resin is generally lower than ordinary rigid‑grade PVC.
