Injection Molding Parameters

Drying Treatment 55‑70°C for 1‑2 hours Drying of pellets is recommended to reduce product defects, although PS has low moisture absorption (less than 0.2 %).
Barrel Temperature 180‑280°C (commonly 185‑215°C) Upper limit for flame‑retardant grade is 250°C; decomposition temperature is approx. 290°C.
Mold Temperature 40‑50°C Higher mold temperature improves part gloss and reduces internal stress.
Injection Pressure 200‑600 bar (approx. 20‑60 MPa) Subject to part geometry and wall thickness.
