Injection Molding Parameters

Drying Treatment 70‑75°C for 1‑2 hours HIPS has low water absorption; drying is generally unnecessary. Drying is recommended when regrind material is included, under high‑humidity environment or abnormal storage conditions.
Barrel Temperature 180‑220°C or 190‑210°C Reference barrel setting: rear zone 190°C, middle zone 200°C, front zone 210°C.
Mold Temperature 20‑70°C Higher mold temperature helps reduce internal stress.
Injection Pressure Holding pressure is normally 90 % of injection pressure. Sufficient holding pressure, holding time and cooling time are required.
Injection Speed High injection speed is recommended Excessively fast speed tends to cause flash; too slow speed results in obvious weld lines. Start with medium speed.
