Injection Molding Processing Parameters

Processing Stage Parameter Item Suggested Range / Operation Notes Unit / Remarks
Pre‑drying Drying Temperature 110‑120 °C
Drying Time 8‑12 (or at least over 4 hours until moisture <0.02%) h (dehumidifying dryer recommended)
Allowable Moisture Content < 0.02% (0.015‑0.02%) Critical requirement
Injection Temperature Rear Barrel Temperature 220‑230 °C
  Middle Barrel Temperature 260‑280 °C
  Front Barrel Temperature 240‑260 °C
  Nozzle Temperature Slightly lower than front‑barrel temperature (e.g. 5‑10 °C lower) °C
Melt Temperature 270‑320 (do not exceed 310 °C to avoid degradation) °C (actual melt temperature shall be confirmed by air‑shot test)
Mold Temperature 80‑100 °C (higher mold temperature reduces internal stress, improves filling and surface appearance)
Injection Settings Injection Pressure (screw‑type) 80‑130 (or approx. 850‑1400 kgf/cm², max. up to 2400 kgf/cm²) MPa (or kgf/cm²)
Holding Pressure 40%‑60% of injection pressure MPa
Back Pressure 3‑14 (or ~10 bar, approx.1 MPa; may decrease if no silver streaks or color‑mixing defects) kgf/cm² or bar
  Screw Speed 40‑70 rpm
Others Injection Speed Relatively fast injection speed commonly adopted (e.g. electrical switch parts); slow‑to‑fast injection profile is typical Avoid melt fracture or poor venting caused by excessive speed
