Material Introduction: PC Idemitsu Kosan LC1500 is a light‑guide grade, high‑flow, transparent polycarbonate material. It is distinguished by outstanding optical performance (high light transmittance), high flowability (suitable for thin‑wall articles), favorable mechanical properties and flame retardancy. It is primarily designed for injection‑molding process.
Main Applications
- Optical Lighting & Display Sector: Core application of LC1500. It is especially suitable for light‑guide plates of liquid‑crystal displays (LCD), diffuser covers and light‑guide components for LED lighting, as well as automotive daytime running lamps, light‑guide rings and light‑guide columns.
- Electronic & Electrical Sector: For high‑transparency parts with certain flame‑retardant requirements, such as electrical housings, switch & relay components, OA‑equipment casings and nameplates.
- Automotive Industry: Automotive lamp housings (reinforced front/rear baffles, reflector frames), instrument‑panel systems, lever boots and door‑frame sleeves.
- Other Fields: Textile yarn bobbins and textile‑machine bearing bushes. Note: This grade shall not be used for medical devices or medical‑related applications according to available data.
