Injection Molding Processing Parameters
| Processing Stage | Process Parameter | Suggested Value / Range | Unit | Remarks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre‑drying | Drying Temperature | 120‑140 | °C | Critical requirement |
| Drying Time | 4‑6 | h | Ensure moisture content ≤0.02% | |
| Recommended Dew Point | <‑40 °C (dehumidifying dryer recommended) | °C | ‑ | |
| Injection Temperature | Rear Barrel Temperature | 260‑280 | °C | Actual settings vary by equipment, mold and product structure |
| Middle Barrel Temperature | 280‑300 | °C | ‑ | |
| Front Barrel Temperature | 290‑310 | °C | ‑ | |
| Nozzle Temperature | 280‑300 | °C | ‑ | |
| Melt Temperature | 280‑310 | °C | ‑ | |
| Mold Temperature | 80‑100 | °C | Higher mold temperature reduces internal stress and improves surface gloss | |
| Injection Pressure & Speed | Injection Pressure | To be adjusted according to specific product and mold | MPa | Apply maximum feasible injection pressure within allowable range |
| Holding Pressure | 50%‑80% of injection pressure | MPa | Adjust by product structure and dimension to compensate shrinkage and reduce warpage | |
| Injection Speed | Medium | ‑ | Low‑speed injection for small gates; high‑speed injection is acceptable for other gate types | |
| Other Parameters | Screw Speed | Medium (40‑70 recommended) | rpm | Avoid excessive shear and overheating |
| Back Pressure | Moderate (0.3‑0.6 recommended) | MPa | Beneficial for melt homogenization; excessive back pressure will cause temperature rise |
