TPEE LG Chem 1055D
TPEE LG Chem 1055D
TPEE LG Chem 1055D is a highly‑general‑purpose injection‑molding grade thermoplastic polyester elastomer. Featuring high elasticity, high‑low temperature resistance and fatigue resistance, it is widely applied in automotive, electrical‑electronic, industrial‑consumer and other fields.
Main Applications
Automotive Components: Such as CVJ boots, steering gear boots, shock‑absorber boots, air‑bag & covers, door‑lock assemblies, pipe plugs, etc.
Electrical‑Electronic Products: For example, elastic electrical‑appliance keys, cordless‑phone antenna housings, cable sheaths, etc.
Industrial & Consumer Goods: Applied for elevator slide rails, noise‑reducing gears (radio‑cassette recorders, quartz clocks), high‑pressure gaskets, seals and other parts.
Sports & Other Fields: Ski bindings, ski‑boot straps, roller‑skate wheels, shoe soles, shoe heels, etc.

Processing Technology
| Process Step | Core Parameters / Recommendations |
|---|---|
| Material Pre‑treatment | TPEE shall be fully dried before processing. Recommended drying at 80120℃ for 68 hours to keep moisture content ≤0.1%. |
| Injection Molding | • Barrel temperature: Generally 180-230℃. Some references mention maximum up to 260℃; avoid thermal degradation. • Injection pressure: 60~100 MPa (approx. 600‑1000 bar). • Injection speed: Medium‑low injection speed. • Screw speed: Slow‑to‑medium speed is preferred. |
| Extrusion | Set processing temperature slightly above melting point, e.g. 200~250℃. Conventional gradient‑type screw is adopted, L/D ratio ≥24:1. |
