POE LG Chem LC170

POE LG Chem LC170

POE LG Chem LC170 is a well‑balanced elastomer with good impact resistance and process flowability. It is especially suitable as impact modifier for automotive, wire‑and‑cable and general‑purpose plastic articles.

Main Applications

Polymer Modification: Mainly for toughening PP, PE and PA. Automotive parts: bumpers, fenders, steering wheels, cushions. Wire & Cable: Insulation and sheaths requiring high heat‑resistance and environmental‑resistance performance. General Articles: Industrial hoses, conveyor belts, medical devices, home‑appliance parts, stationery, toys, composite materials and footwear products.

Processing Guidelines

  • Processes: injection molding and extrusion.
  • Drying: Low moisture absorption. Drying normally unnecessary for intact packaging; dry if package damaged. Refer to official TDS for exact drying parameters.
  • Processing temperature: Set well above melting point(56‑58 °C) for sufficient plasticization; fine‑tune per part geometry.
  • Blending modification: For PP/PE toughening, POE loading ≤20 %. Higher POE improves impact & elongation, while tensile / flexural strength and modulus decrease accordingly.
