Reinforced modification of polypropylene is mainly achieved by adding glass fibers, bringing a qualitative leap in mechanical properties. Its mechanical strength is comparable to ABS and even certain metals. This modification endows the material with high strength and rigidity, and greatly raises its heat‑deflection temperature, extending the applicable temperature range from ‑30 °C to 110 °C.

In the automotive industry, it is used to manufacture structural components such as instrument panel skeletons, fan blades and battery brackets.
