PBT LOW‑WARPAGE MODIFICATION

Glass‑fiber‑reinforced PBT tends to generate warpage during injection molding. Glass‑fiber orientation brings about anisotropic shrinkage. Mineral composite modification, blend modification and optimized glass‑fiber morphology are commonly adopted to mitigate warpage of molded plastic components.

 

Main Uses Automotive industry (accounting for over 60 %): Low‑warpage PBT is applied to exterior components requiring high dimensional accuracy and weather resistance, such as rear‑view mirror housings, wiper brackets, lamp decorative bezels, door handles and connector housings.

Electrical‑electronic sector: Used for thin‑walled complex parts including relays, coil bobbins, potentiometers, energy‑saving lamp holders and fan‑motor housings, taking advantage of its good flowability and insulating performance.

Industrial machinery: Transmission components with moderate strength and strict dimensional‑stability requirements, such as gears, cams and pump housings.

Consumer goods: Heat‑resistant home‑appliance parts including iron covers, toaster components and hair‑dryer housings, as well as precision small‑sized parts such as eyeglass frames.
