POM flame retardant modification

POM FLAME‑RETARDANT MODIFICATION

POM features a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of merely 15 %, which makes it a highly combustible plastic grade. POM is sensitive to acids and alkalis; numerous flame‑retardant fillers will aggravate polymer decomposition during processing, hence halogen‑based flame retardants are not suitable for POM modification. Nitrogen‑based flame‑retardant coating technology is the prevailing technical solution. With MCA loading at 21 wt%, the limiting oxygen index rises from 15 % to 26 %. Selected inorganic flame retardants can also deliver significant improvement in flame‑retardant performance.

Participation Process

For modification factories wishing to join the supply, please contact supply‑side customer service.

Users may click group‑order procurement or contact procurement customer service to submit procurement requirements. The platform aggregates similar demands, then screens from its platform database or releases a tender. High‑quality modified raw materials are selected according to users’ procurement requirements. After successful sample testing, users confirm the advantageous modified raw materials and suppliers, and sign purchase‑sales contracts.
