PPS TOUGHENING MODIFICATION

High brittleness and low elongation are the major drawbacks of PPS. Its rigid molecular chain leads to a crystallinity up to 75 %, resulting in poor toughness. Toughening modification is mainly realized by blending with other resins.

 

Main Uses Applied in demanding fields such as sanitary‑ware products and hot‑cold mixing valves. Toughened PPS is widely used for automotive engine‑compartment components, electronic connectors and military‑industry products.
