When TPU is used outdoors for a long time, it is attacked by ultraviolet light and oxygen and suffers photo‑oxidative aging, which causes material degradation, performance decline and discoloration. Anti‑aging modification retards such degradation process by incorporating high‑efficiency light stabilizers, ultraviolet absorbers and antioxidants into the formula.
