PLATING / PAINTING MODIFICATION Due to limited surface polarity of neat PC, direct plating or painting may result in insufficient coating adhesion. Plating and painting modification improves bonding strength between PC and metal plating or paint through formula design to adapt to subsequent surface decoration processes. Its key advantage lies in high painting yield and firm combination with coatings for premium surface appearance. Modified PC of this type is mainly used for products with high surface‑quality requirements, such as mobile phone housings, automotive interior and exterior trims, and various electronic product shells requiring high gloss or metallic texture.

CHEMICAL‑RESISTANT MODIFICATION PC is vulnerable to erosion by certain organic solvents and chemical media, which leads to stress cracking. Chemical‑resistant modification aims to improve overall chemical resistance, mostly realized by copolymer technology through molecular‑chain structural design to achieve intrinsic chemical tolerance. FOOD‑GRADE MODIFICATION Food‑grade modification covers a series of comprehensive modifications focusing on hygiene safety for food contact. Base PC resin and all additives shall comply with FDA, EU and relevant regulations. All ingredients must be non‑toxic, odor‑free and non‑migrating. The material features high chemical inertness without harmful substance leaching into food and no negative influence on food sensory quality. It also owns good hydrolysis resistance and tolerates repeated cleaning and disinfection. Food‑grade modified PC applies to direct‑food‑contact scenarios such as reusable water drums, drinking cups, tableware, baby bottles and components for food processing and packaging machinery.
