ABS toughening modification
Toughened‑Modified ABS Plastic
Toughening modification addresses insufficient toughness of ABS under certain service conditions. Typical tougheners include SBS, high‑rubber ABS powder and MBS. Studies demonstrate that high‑rubber ABS powder achieves the most remarkable toughening effect in flame‑retardant antistatic ABS systems, with little negative impact on flame‑retardant performance. There is a synergistic effect between chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and antimony trioxide (Sb₂O₃), which can simultaneously improve flame‑retardancy and greatly raise the impact strength of composites.
Main Applications
It is mainly applied for products requiring high impact toughness, such as housings for mining electrical appliances, automotive components, power‑tool shells and sports‑equipment parts. It is especially suitable for scenarios that need stable toughness under low‑temperature environments.
Properties: toughened Physical properties: customizable per customer requirements (partial performances can match imported brands).
