PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide)

Known as “plastic gold”, PPS is a high‑performance special‑engineering plastic. Core features: superior high‑temperature resistance with long‑term service temperature of 200‑240 °C and heat‑deflection temperature exceeding 260 °C. It delivers excellent chemical resistance, barely soluble in any solvent below 200 °C and highly resistant to acid‑alkali corrosion. It is inherently flame‑retardant and meets UL94‑V0 standard without additional flame‑retardant additives. It also boasts outstanding dimensional stability (molding shrinkage ＜0.0025 %) and favorable electrical properties. Unmodified PPS resin is brittle, hence glass‑fiber or other fillers are commonly adopted for modification.

Main Applications

Automotive industry (largest application field, approx. 43%): new‑energy‑vehicle motor components, electronic water‑pump housings, lithium‑battery covers, achieving more than 30% weight reduction compared with metal parts.

Electrical & electronic industry (approx. 24%): micro‑connectors, coil bobbins, 5G base‑station antenna vibrators featured with low dielectric loss.

Environmental protection: high‑temperature filter bags for coal‑fired power plants, capable of withstanding 200 °C acidic flue gas.
