表格

Mould Type Main Features Typical Applications Key Specifications & Material Examples
Injection‑Mould Largest share among plastic moulds (~50%). Compatible with thermoplastic & thermoset materials; capable of complex precision parts. TV housing, keypad buttons, automotive components, medical device housings. Cavity: single‑cavity / multi‑cavity; runner: cold‑runner / hot‑runner; service‑life: 50 000 ~ over 1 000 000 shots; mould steel: P20, 718, NAK80, S136.
Extrusion‑Mould (Extruder die head) Produces continuous constant‑cross‑section profiles. Die defines dimensions perpendicular to material flow direction. Pipes, sheets, rods, film, wire cable sheathing. Configuration: T‑die, coat‑hanger die; lip straightness tolerance up to ±0.002 mm for precision coating dies; mould steel: P20, 2714, 2311, 5CrNiMo.
Blow‑Mould Hollow‑part forming; compressed air inflates tubular parison inside closed mould. Beverage bottles, mineral‑water drums, oil jugs, shampoo bottles. Construction: split‑type / insert‑type; cavities: 2‑14 cavities; neck diameter 20‑92 mm, bottle height 120‑220 mm.
Compression‑Mould Raw material loaded into open cavity; formed under heat & pressure. Mainly for thermosets. Electrical plugs & sockets, pot handles, melamine tableware. Flash type: flash‑type, semi‑flash‑type, flash‑less‑type; mould temperature for phenolic resin: 145‑180 ℃.
Transfer‑Mould Material melted in separate loading chamber then forced into cavity. For thermosets with intricate inserts. Complex thermoset components with fine metal inserts. Style: pot‑type / plunger‑type; separate loading chamber and cavity; melt flows through gating system.
Thermo‑forming Mould Heated soft sheet is shaped by vacuum or compressed air. Low mechanical load; non‑metallic mould material feasible. Disposable food containers, drinking cups, packaging inserts. Process: vacuum forming or pressure forming; simple structure, male‑mould / female‑mould configuration.

Mould‑Selection Guidelines

  1. Plastic material: Distinguish thermoplastics (ABS, PP, PC etc.) for injection / extrusion / blow‑molding; thermosets (phenolic, epoxy resin) for compression / transfer‑molding.
  2. Part geometry & precision: Injection‑mould preferred for complex high‑accuracy items such as precision gears and phone housings. Thermo‑forming or blow‑mould offers cost‑efficiency for simple containers and sheet‑derived articles.
  3. Production volume: For mass production select long‑life high‑efficiency solutions e.g. multi‑cavity or hot‑runner injection‑moulds; higher tooling cost reduces per‑piece cost. For low‑volume trial‑run adopt simpler lower‑cost mould options.
  4. Cost‑balance: Mould price depends on complexity, tolerance, steel grade and target shot‑life. Balance one‑time tooling investment against long‑term part production cost.
